Using gpedit.msc to hide specified drives in computer. ซ่อน Drives โดยการตั้งค่า Options ใน gpedit.msc เขียนวิธีการซ่อน, ล็อกไฟล์ , โฟลเดอร์มามากพอแล้ว ใน Page.นี้รวมถึงPage. ต่อจากนี้ เรามาเปลี่ยนบรรยากาศเป็น ซ่อน และ ล็อค Drive กันบ้างดีกว่า   เริ่มต้นจาก การซ่อน Drive โดยการการตั้งค่า Options ใน gpedit.msc(Local Group Policy Editor) ซึ่งเป็นวิธีการที่ง่ายที่สุดในบรรดาการซ่อน และ ล็อค Drive ที่ผมจะนำมาเขียน * สำรับการตั้งค่าใน Windows 8 ผมได้กลับมาแก้ไขให้ใหม่ เพราะบทความนี้เขียนไว้ตั้งแต่ Win8 เป็น Consumer Preview และ ผมก็พบว่าเมื่อ Win8 ออกมาเป็นรุ่นวางจำหน่าย (ผมใช้ Pro 64 bit) Policy ที่ใช้ในการตั้งค่าสำหรับการซ่อน Drive ได้มีการเปลี่ยนชื่อไปจากเดิม เปิด gpedit.msc : คุณจะเลือกเปิดตามวิธีไหนก็ได้ - กด Windows Key + r > Run > พิมพ์ gpedit.msc > OK (Windows XP - 8) - พิมพ์ gpedit.msc ที่ช่อง Address bar จากข้างใน Folders ไหนก็ได้ > คลิกที่รูปลูกศรท้าย Address bar หรือกด Enter (Windows XP - 8) - ถ้าคุณใช้ Windows Vista, 7 จะพิมพ์ gpedit.msc ที่ช่อง Start search ก็ได้ ,  - ถ้าคุณใช้ Win8 ก็พิมพ์ gpedit ที่ Start screen ได้เลย   A. วิธีการซ่อน Drive 1. ที่ column ด้านซ้าย ของโปรแกรม Group Policy ให้คุณ Click ไปตาม Path นี้ Windows7 : User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Explorer  Pic 1 (หมายเลข 1.>--> 4.) จากภาพตัวอย่างผมใช้ Standard View Windows8 : User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > File Explorer Pic 1 (หมายเลข 1.>--> 4.) * Windows XP, Vista ให้คุณใช้วิธีการเทียบเคียงจาก Windows 7 2. ที่ column ด้านขวาให้คุณ Double click ที่  Hide these specified drives in My Computer Pic 1.1 (5.) 3. ที่หน้าต่าง Hide these specified Drives in My Computer ให้คุณเลือก Enabled Pic 1.2 (6.) 4. จากนั้นให้คุณเลือก Drives ที่ต้องการจะซ่อนที่ช่อง Pick one of the following combinations (7.) จากนั้นกด Apply > OK (8.) 6. จากตัวอย่าง ผมเลือกเป็น Restrict all drives ก็คือซ่อนทุก Drives เมื่อเปิดเข้าไปที่หน้าต่าง Computer ก็จะเป็นดังรูป  (Pic 2.) B. ยกเลิกการซ่อน (Unhide Drives) ให้คุณเข้าไปคลิกเลือกที่หัวข้อ Notconfigured หรือ Disabled หรือ เลือก Options ในDropdown list (หมายเลข 7.)เป็น Do not restrict all drives จากนั้นกด > OK แค่นี้ Drives ในคอมพิวเตอร์ก็จะกลับมาเหมือนเดิมครับ       C. การเข้าถึง Drives โดยไม่ต้องคืนค่าใน gpedit การซ่อนในลักษณะนี้ เป็นการซ่อนที่ไม่ลึกมากนัก ถ้าจะพูดให้ถูกมันเป็นเพียงการซ่อน Drives icon มากกว่า คือคุณสามารถเข้าถึง Drive ที่ซ่อนได้ โดย... (Pic 3.) 1. พิมพ์ชื่อ Drive ที่คุณต้องการเปิด ที่ Address bar จากนั้นกด Enter เช่น ถ้าต้องการเปิด Dive E: ก็ให้คุณเข้าไปที่ Computer จากนั้นให้พิมพ์ e:แล้วกด Enter 2. หรือถ้าคุณได้กำหนด Folder ที่ใช้งานบ่อยๆไว้ที่ Fabvolites หรือ Libraries คุณก็คลิกเข้าไปใช้งานได้ตามปกติ Note - ถ้าคุณต้องการซ่อน หรือ Lock Drives ในแบบที่เจอะจงชี้ชัด และ สามารถป้องกันการเข้าถึง Drives ได้ดีกว่านี้ ให้คุณอ่านได้ที่ Page 9 ,Page 10, Page 11 Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc) ก็เหมือนกับโปรแกรมทั่วๆไป เรื่องที่คุณควรจะเข้าใจก็คือ ทุกครั้งที่มีการเปลี่ยนรุ่นของ Windows, gpedit ก็จะมีการ Update ไปด้วย การตั้งค่าต่างๆใน gpedit มักจะถูกเพิ่มเติม, ตัดออก หรือ บางทีก็มีการเปลี่ยนชื่อ ของ Policy เรื่องพวกนี้เป็นเรื่องธรรมดา - สำหรับวิธีการดูว่าการตั้งค่าต่างๆใน gpedit.
